  So E3 2021 has come and past. Despite my lack of enthusiasm there were some announcements that intrigued me. Pre-E3 Sony had their State of Play presentation which the standout of that was the gameplay demo of Horizon Forbidden West. Horizon Zero Dawn was on of my favorite games that I played in 2019 so I was eager to see how the follow-up would turn out. Visually, Forbidden West is gorgeous. It's hard to tell completely from my TV how good the game actually looks since I was watching it through YouTube on my PS4, but I can still tell that it looks better. I'm here for the gameplay improvements first and foremost and I saw some things that intrigued me. Now there's underwater swimming which can be terrifying if you encounter one of the Snapmaws in the water. There are new melee attacks with the spear and even a super charged move. Aloy has a grapple hook for climbing and wall jump traversal and a glider for... gliding. The new mammoth enemy looks dope as well. I'm int

 I guess I should talk about E3 this year, but I honestly don't have much to say. It's back this year in a digital event after being canceled last year due to the pandemic. My hype level for it this year is an absolute zero. After almost attending the event last year to it being a digital only event this year kills it for me. It has always been digital to me in the past since I always watched from home from my computer through Twitch or YouTube. Nothing's changed for me and it might be even worse this year there will be no stage presentations, it's likely going to be all videos of live streams with hosts and guests talking to each other via Zoom or whatever. Most of the stage presentations in the past weren't hitting anyway, but that's still better than what we're getting this year. I won't be watching the event live as I have to work, but even if I wasn't I'm not sure I would. I would likely just try and catch the footage whenever I felt like it
