Backrooms What a creative movie. I cannot believe that this was constructed by a 20 year old visionary. You can see talent all through this and as someone who has almost no knowledge of the creepypasta I was in no way lost and found myself thoroughly immersed in the story. There is no way I can conceive that no one could not like this! The psychological look at a man downtrodden by his own behaviors, actions, and guilt and a woman who found her way studying the minds of others after being raised by a parent with a fractured mind and all of this being reflected into an infinite liminal space that sets these two together. The cinematography alone is amazing. Chiwetel Ejiofor puts out an amazing performance! The atmosphere, the way it conveys discomfort, familiarity, and creepiness is astonishing. Most horror movies use darkness and high contrast to make scenes feel creepy and it was refreshing to see something that is mostly bright and well lit that still...
