    EVE'S BAYOU I think this is the first time I watched this film in its entirety because there was only one scene in this movie that I remembered that I'll get to later. Majority of my film history is from the 90s as you can see on my page and this is definitely one of the most uniquely feeling from this decade. It's past midnight on May 27 as I write this and I'm struggling to put this into words for this review. The vibe of Eve's Bayou is wholesome, sad, unsettling, and something else I can't quite put into words. This is a very human story about a young girl who struggles with the affection she has for her father and her sister. This is told through the eyes of titular character Eve and one night at a dinner party she falls asleep and witnesses her father having sex with another woman.   I've been playing video games for a very very long time now and one of the things that has been bugging me in my adulthood is the lack of afro-centric hairstyles in video games. I play a lot of RPGs and these games often have character creation and customization. As a creative I love any game that gives me freedom to express myself. I love designing the look and the playstyle of my characters. It's just frustrating that my options are so limited when it comes to making a character that looks black and the most egregious part is the lack of hair options. If the title does possess any black hairstyles it's going to be a Party City looking-ass afro, cornrows with no hangtime, and maybe some locs.  **SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST TWO EPISODES OF ATLANTA SEASON 3!** So Donald Glover's Atlanta is back and the first two episodes released a little while ago and now I have the time to talk about it. I was up in the middle of the night that week when I remembered that the third season of Atlanta started already. I went to Hulu and started the first episode. In the opening sequence we see two men fishing in a lake at night. One is black, the other is white. They laugh and talk and then the black fisherman mentions how people end up missing  at this lake. The white fisherman mentions how this lake used to be a town occupied by black people and it was flooded by the mayor to create this lake. The scene becomes massively eerie as the area becomes darker when the fisherman looks away. His voice trails off and the audio becomes muffled and when he finally turns around he is missing eyes and the black fisherman is drug underwater by black hands.
